Man, 26, drowns while swimming in Conn.

OXFORD, Conn.—A 26-year-old New Jersey man has drowned while swimming with friends at a recreation area in Oxford.
Authorities say they recovered the body of Vignesh Viswanathan of Edison, N.J., on Sunday evening. He disappeared while swimming with friends at the Jackson Cove recreation area shortly after 7 p.m.
The friends had hiked from Kettletown State Park in Southbury to Jackson Cove to swim. When they were ready to leave, they discovered Viswanathan was missing.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
