"Everybody who reads the Globe knows I have made more than my share of mistakes. But I try not to make the same one twice," Swift said in an interview at her home.

"And so, I don’t know if there’s another race. But I know if there’s enough of a long period of time where a race could be viable that I would be silly to squander the infrastructure that was built."
