Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner was arrested Nov. 21 as a result of a widening federal corruption investigation.

The councilman, elected in 1999, has long been an activist for minorities in the Boston area. The Cincinnati native and Harvard graduate represents District 7, which includes Roxbury, Lower Roxbury, and parts of the Fenway, South End, and Dorchester.
