In 1936, the Massachusetts State House bore a message of welcome for President Franklin Delano Roosevelt from the Commonwealth and our then-Governor James Michael Curley (namesake for Faneuil Hall's bar, The Purple Shamrock, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones's 1990s hit "The Rascal King").
More than 70 years later, the gold-domed building looks the same.
