Audie Murphy was famous as the most decorated US combat soldier of World War II, with 33 awards and decorations. He broke the taboo about discussing war related mental problems after he overcame an addiction to prescription pills and spoke out about his personal problems with PTSD, then known as "Battle Fatigue."
