Another issue rural veterans face is that their medical care providers
do not always accept the military's health insurance for soldiers and their
families known as "TRICARE." Kevin Demeurers, who was injured in the war, is
still waiting for some reimbursement from Tayden's birth 18 months ago
while he was serving in Iraq. "My faith in the medical system is pretty
low," he said.
