MEXICO, Maine (AP) — Two Maine women have been selected to participate in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in South Korea.
Thirty-one-year-old Tanya Scott, of Mexico, and 26-year-old Kala Emery, of Lewiston are taking part in the games running from Jan. 29 to Feb. 5.
The Sun Journal (http://bit.ly/10Stxv4 ) reported that Scott will compete in snowshoeing, and Emery will compete in cross-county skiing. Their names were chosen by Special Olympics Maine officials
They will join 3,300 athletes and coaches representing 112 countries in South Korea.
