AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine utilities report 14,600 electric customers are without service one day after strong winds accompanying a rain storm blew through the state.
Central Maine Power Co. said Saturday that more than 11,800 customers are still without power. That total is down from more than 64,600 outages on Friday. Most of the remaining outages are in Cumberland, York and Lincoln county areas.
Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. reports nearly 2,800 outages, most of them in Hancock County.
