3 charged with bringing cocaine to Maine

AUBURN, Maine (AP) — Three people are facing drug trafficking charges in Maine following their arrests for allegedly bringing a shipment of cocaine to Maine from Connecticut.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents and Auburn police arrested 27-year-old Amanda Rodriguez of Auburn, Margoliz Velázquez of Hartford, Conn., and 39-year-old Markevin Faucette of Lewiston shortly after midnight Wednesday after stopping their vehicle as it was exiting the Maine Turnpike in Auburn. Police say they seized 1 ½ ounces of crack cocaine.

The three are being at the Androscoggin County Jail on $75,000 bail each.end of story marker
