RANGELEY, Maine (AP) — Police in the Maine town of Rangeley have arrested three people on charges of selling heroin after authorities say they seized a substantial amount of drugs and money.

Police and Maine Drug Enforcement agents arrested 31-year-old Tyler McFarland of Gray; 23-year-old Jami Driscoll of Auburn and 33-year-old Michael Chandler of Philadelphia on Monday.

All three are charged with trafficking in heroin. Police say other charges are expected.

Authorities say drug agents have investigating a crack cocaine and heroin distribution ring in Rangeley for several months.

On Monday, agents searched a home on Main Street and a local motel and said they seized $8200, 157 bags of heroin and 20 grams of crack, all packaged for resale.end of story marker
