Zumba instructor's lawyer joins supreme court case

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The lawyer for a woman accused of using her Zumba studio as a front for prostitution in Maine is joining a supreme court fight over privacy violation charges.
Prosecutors have appealed to reinstate 46 invasion of privacy counts that were dismissed against Alexis Wright’s business partner. Wright faces 46 identical counts, as well as 60 other charges, and her lawyer says she will submit legal briefs and attend the supreme court arguments.
Wright and Mark Strong Sr. are accused of videotaping prostitution clients without their knowledge.
The judge who dismissed the counts against Strong concluded that people engaged in criminal conduct should not expect the same privacy rights as others under a state law aimed at protecting the privacy of people in dressing rooms.
