Governor Paul LePage wants Mainers to know he is not living large, despite a $32,000 kitchen tab last year. The Portland Press Herald cited the Blaine House food bill last week as an example of spending data found on an open records website touted by the governor last week in his State of the State address. Lynn Harvey, Blaine House director, said Monday that the kitchen tab included dinners for military families and potential state investors. She said private groups are sometimes asked to help defray the cost. She also said LePage views the governor’s mansion, his official residence, as the ‘‘people’s house,’’ with more than 6,000 people coming through last year.
