Maine, UNH win, Vermont loses in Hockey East

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The University of New Hampshire beat Vermont on the Catamounts’ home ice, while Maine won in Massachusetts in Hockey East games.
In Burlington, Vt., Austin Block netted a pair of goals to lift fifth-ranked UNH to Friday night’s 4-3 win over Vermont.
UNH improves to 17-8-4 with a 12-7-3 mark in Hockey East. Vermont is now 10-15-4 overall and 7-11-4 in league play.
In Amherst, Mass., UMaine goalie Martin Ouellette recorded his third career shutout as the Black Bears beat UMass 2-0 on Friday night.
UMaine improves to 9-16-6, and 5-11-6, while Massachusetts falls to 10-17-2 and 7-14-1.
