Police look for man who hid Fender Stratocaster in his pants

LEWISTON, Maine—Lewiston police are searching for a man accused of stealing an electric guitar by shoving it in his pants and walking out of the store.

Police say the theft occurred last week at Music Maniac at the Lewiston Mall. They're looking for three men, including two who acted as lookouts. Police say one of the men shoved a Fender Stratocaster in his pants and then pulled a sweatshirt over the top.

Strangely enough, the mode of theft isn't unique. In 2006, a man did the same thing but he was caught red-handed, with the guitar in his pants.
