ORONO, Maine—When the University of Maine's class of 2008 graduates on May 10, the top two students will be international students. It'll be the first time that's happened.

UMaine officials say Marianne Schneider of Germany is the class valedictorian. Schneider completed double degrees in international affairs and economics with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

The number two student is Ahn Do of Vietnam, who has a double concentration in accounting and finance.

Schneider and Do are among the 1,860 graduates scheduled to receive UMaine degrees at the commencement ceremonies.
