Gas prices hit record -- again

POTLTAND, Maine—Gas prices are hitting a record high again in Maine as oil prices continue to go up.

According to AAA, which tracks fuel prices nationally, a gallon of unleaded Monday was averaging $3.58 in Maine. That's 28 cents higher than a month ago and 70 cents higher than a year ago.

Nationally, AAA says gas was averaging a record $3.60 a gallon Monday, up from $3.28 a month ago and $2.94 a year ago.

Diesel fuel was averaging $4.35 a gallon in Maine and $4.24 a gallon nationally.
