Maine man sentenced to 91 months for Burger King robbery

PORTLAND, Maine—A 20-year-old Biddeford man is going to prison for more than seven years for robbing a Burger King in Saco last year.

Prosecutors say Corey Wright and an accomplice robbed the fast-food restaurant last May while wearing hooded sweat shirts and bandanas over their faces.

They stole more than $1,300 in cash, and Wright repeatedly struck an employee on the back of the head with a pistol.

Wright was sentenced in federal court in Portland on Thursday to 91 months in prison for robbery and brandishing a firearm during the robbery.

His accomplice, 20-year-oold Christopher Suthard, was sentenced earlier this year to 121 months in prison.
