Destroyer to visit Maine tourist town next month

WASHINGTON—A Navy destroyer will call in Boothbay Harbor during the coastal resort town's Windjammer Days Festival next month.

The USS Anzio will pay a port visit June 23-26. The visit was announced by Sen. Susan Collins, who requested it.

The Anzio is a Ticonderoga class guided missile destroyer, launched in 1990. Its home port is Norfolk Naval Station in Virginia.
