SANFORD, Maine—Sanford police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run accident that killed a 50-year-old man when his motorcycle was struck from behind while slowing to make a turn Thursday night.
Sanford police said they have charged 25-year-old Kimberly Gignac with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
Witnesses told police the driver of a minivan took off after striking 50-year-old Alan Moring of Standish while he was riding on Route 202. Moring was transported to Maine Medical Center, where he died.
Police arrested Gignac on Friday night.
