BOOTHBAY, Maine—Martha Stewart has taken time out from her summer on Mount Desert Island to promote an event at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

The lifestyle maven sailed down the coast to Boothbay on Wednesday to attend a preview party for the Antiques in the Gardens show. She explained to antique dealers at the event that she's a "passionate gardener and a lover of all things old."

The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is one of the newest gardens in the nation, and it's one of only a handful located on the coast.

Stewart says the gardens are in good hands with the hiring of Bill Cullina, who has appeared on her TV show several times.
