WINDHAM, Maine—Maine wardens are searching a southern Maine lake after a man jumped off a fast-moving boat into the water and failed to come to the surface.

Maine Warden Service spokeswoman Deborah Turcotte says two men jumped into Highland Lake in Windham on Friday afternoon from a power boat that was traveling an estimated 30 mph.

She says one of the men came to the surface but the other man didn't.

The warden service was searching the lake with a plane, and the warden service dive team was called to assist. Turcotte says the search is focusing on waters that are about 60 feet deep.
