PORTLAND, Maine—Police say they have arrested an alleged bank robber who took a taxi to and from the crime.
Authorities say 45-year-old Otis Johnson of Portland is charged with robbing the Key Bank branch on Forest Avenue on Tuesday, after taking a cab from the Greyhound Bus station.
Police say when Johnson came out the of the bank a few minutes later and got back into the cab, a dye-pack concealed in the money activated. Police say Johnson then got out of the cab and ran away.
Police say he was arrested Tuesday night with help from the public and was being held without bail.![]()
