OLD TOWN, Maine—Gov. John Baldacci is visiting one of Maine's iconic businesses -- Old Town canoe -- as it consolidates operations under one roof with a paddle manufacturer.

The canoe maker's parent company, Johnson Outdoors Inc., is consolidating its paddle sport brands into the Old Town facility in order to streamline operations.

The company has decided to stay in Maine after receiving an interest-free loan and a block grant totaling nearly $900,000.
