BAR HARBOR, Maine—An alumnus of Maine's College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor is giving $1 million to the school.
The college announced Friday that the offering from 1984 graduate Jay McNally is the largest gift the college has received from a former student.
After graduating, McNally founded Ibis Consulting Inc., an electronic data management company that he sold in 2006. He now lives in Bar Harbor, where he works on land conservation issues while serving on the college's board of trustees.
