BRUNSWICK, Maine—A charitable foundation is hoping to boost the efforts of Maine entrepreneurs by launching a $3 million initiative.
The Blackstone Charitable Foundation is planning to unveil Friday its Blackstone Accelerates Growth initiative at Brunswick Landing.
The program will be managed by the Maine Technology Institute and will support and expand programs such as the Innovation Engineering project at the University of Maine and the Top Gun program at the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development.
The Blackstone Charitable Foundation has committed to spending $50 million across the country on similar projects.

Blackstone has made similar investments in Michigan and North Carolina.
