DURHAM, N.H.—No. 11th University of New Hampshire will begin its quest for the 2012 Division I Football Championship Subdivision title with a Dec. 3 second-round game at Montana State University in Bozeman, Mont.
UNH on Sunday received one of 10 at-large berths to the tournament following an 8-3 overall record that included 6-2 in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Wildcats earned a bid to the NCAA Division I Football Championship for the eighth consecutive season, the longest current streak in the nation.
UNH closed the regular season Saturday at home with a 30-27 victory against then-No. 11 University of Maine.
Maine (8-3) will face at Appalachian State (8-3) on Dec. 3 in the FCS second round. The winner of that game goes on the next week to face Norfolk State, Old Dominion or Georgia Southern.
