SANFORD, Maine—Maine state police say a suspected burglar who escaped from a New Hampshire jail three days ago is still at large.

Police say 33-year-old David Glenn Hobson should be considered armed and dangerous. He escaped Thursday from the Carroll County House of Corrections in Ossipee, N.H., where he was awaiting trial on a burglary charge.

Police believe Hobson has a gun and is out to harm at least two people he knows in southern Maine.

Hobson's father has been charged with hindering apprehension. He's accused of leaving supplies outside his home for his son after he escaped.

Authorities had initially believed Hobson might have been driving a stolen blue Honda Accord. But police said Sunday night that the Accord had been recovered and wasn't related to Hobson's escape.
