HERMON, Maine—Maine State Police continue to investigate a shooting in which a 30-year-old Bangor man was fatally shot while he and another man were allegedly forcing their way into an apartment in Hermon.

Police say Robert Dellairo and 19-year-old Philip McIntyre drove themselves to a Bangor hospital after being shot Thursday morning by 24-year-old Daniel Williams, who shares the apartment with another man.

Dellairo later died of a gunshot wound to the pelvis. McIntyre was treated and released, and was bailed out of jail on Friday.

Police believe Williams and his roommate didn't know the intruders. Investigators are still attempting to determine a motive.

Two women with Dellairo and McIntyre have not been charged.
