Xerox call center in Lewiston hiring
LEWISTON, Maine—Xerox Corp. has announced that it is hiring more than 50 workers for its call center in Lewiston.
A company spokeswoman says the new workers are being hired to handle unforeseen growth.
The spokeswoman tells the Sun Journal that one of those clients decided to stay while a remaining client is experiencing growth.
The company says it will first ask those people who were recently laid off if they want to be rehired.
The call center answers in-bound calls and employs 250 people.
Xerox purchased ACS in 2009.
