The town has scheduled a household hazardous-waste disposal day on Oct. 27 at the highway barn from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents are urged to attend with neighbors to cut down on the number of cars arriving. Residents can bring a variety of household waste, including swimming pool chemicals, oven cleaner, flea control products, weed killers, gasoline, and moth balls.
