The town clerk is reminding residents of fast-approaching voter registration deadlines, and has placed a current voter list on the town website so residents can check that their information is correct. To vote in the Sept. 6 state primary, residents must be registered no later than Aug. 17. To vote in the Nov. 6 presidential election, voters must be registered no later than Oct. 17. The town clerk’s office will be open until 8 p.m. on both deadline dates to ensure that residents have plenty of time to register. The clerk is also reminding residents that any changes to voting information must be done with the voter’s original signature. Town clerk’s office staff members will be accepting voter registrations and absentee ballot requests during the Meet Belmont event, starting at 6 p.m Aug. 28 at the Chenery Middle School. For more information, call the town clerk’s office at 617-993-2600 or e-mail townclerk@belmont-ma.gov.
