Town officials are seeking a volunteer to fill a seat on the Board of Library Trustees that will be open as of Sept. 1  due to a resignation. The term is scheduled to end with the town election in March 2013. The library trustees have custody of and are responsible for the management of the library, its property, and its budget. The trustees generally meet monthly, on the third Tuesday of each month at the library. The meetings are open to the public. Special meetings may also be called.  Anyone interested in the position is asked to send a resume and a letter of interest detailing his or her qualifications by Aug. 8 to Jill Pappas, chairwoman of the Board of Library Trustees, Winchester Public Library, 80 Washington St., Winchester MA 01890.  end of story marker
