State and local officials, including Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Greg Bialecki and US Representative Niki Tsongas, joined developer Sam Park at a recent groundbreaking ceremony for a 580,000-square-foot mixed-use project on the former Cisco Systems site at 495 Great Road. The Point development will include retail and office space and a 100-room hotel. Intended to spur additional private development in Littleton, the project is supported by the Route 119/I-495 Interchange Safety and Capacity Improvement Project, part of the state’s MassWorks Infrastucture Program that includes the widening of Route 119, reconstruction of sidewalks to meet current accessibility standards, the addition of three signals, dedicated turn lanes, and a water main to serve new development. The public infrastructure work is expected to be complete by next summer.
