Absentee ballots for the Sept. 6 primary are available in town clerk Joanne Rappa’s office. Registered voters are eligible to cast an absentee ballot if they cannot be at the polls on primary day due to being absent from town, a disability, or religious belief. Anyone wishing to vote by absentee ballot must file an application in the clerk’s office by noon on Sept. 5. At the primary, the Democratic, Republican, and Green Rainbow parties will be selecting nominees to run in the Nov. 6 state election. This year’s primary falls on a Thursday rather than the usual Tuesday.
