Parents are urged to familiarize themselves with new traffic flow plans posted on the School Department website, www.aps1.net, for the Bancroft, Andover High, and West Middle schools for the new academic year, which begins Thursday. Bancroft parents are encouraged to use school buses or to car pool due to the construction next door on the new $44.7 million Bancroft School building, and the closure of Bancroft Road to the public. Anyone who drives in must approach the school via West Knoll Road. Changes at the middle and high schools were made to improve drop-off and pick-up circulation, starting with allowing two-way traffic in the mornings on the high school’s access road off of Shawsheen Road. Two-way traffic has also been added to the left side of West Middle School. Other changes at the middle and high school involve new drop-off and pick-up restrictions.
