The North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network  recently moved from Melrose to a new location in Stoneham. Housed at 39 Pleasant St., a space shared with the YMCA Child Care Center of Stoneham, the network offers education and support for caregivers and educators of children from birth through those entering kindergarten, as well as resources and referrals to families with children through age 13. Beginning this month, the network will offer drop-in play groups as well as parent education programs and fun events for area families. Funded by a grant from the state Department of Early Education and Care through the Wakefield public schools, in collaboration with Hallmark Health and the public schools in Melrose and Stoneham, the network serves families from all three communities. For more information, call the network at 781-279-0300 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.   end of story marker
