At Norwell Middle School, 590 young people were issued a high-end piece of technology last week: an iPad, a tablet computer designed and marketed by Apple Inc. that offers a platform for audio and visual media. The computers, which have been equipped with relevant text books and educational tools, are part of a schoolwide push to heighten student learning by harnessing the power of technology. A similar iPad program was launched in select grades this fall in Hull. ![]()
