The Book Store Next Door, which is operated by the nonprofit Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library, is seeking volunteers and donations of gently used books, DVDs, and CDs. Magazines, textbooks, and encyclopedias are not accepted. The only shop selling used books in Wilmington is staffed by volunteers and relies entirely on community donations. Proceeds from the store, which opened in 2007, support the library’s programs. The store has about 5,000 titles, all priced at $2 or less. To donate items, drop by the store at 183 Middlesex Ave. during regular operating hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Those interested in volunteering may call the library at 978-658-2967.
