Grants available for Duxbury community arts, science programs

The Massachusetts Cultural Council is allocating $3,800 to the Duxbury Cultural Council for community-oriented arts, humanities, and science programs. Grant proposals are due to the council by Oct. 15; mailed proposals must be postmarked by that date. Organizations, schools, and individuals may apply. The grants can be used for exhibits, festivals, field trips, workshops, lectures, short-term artist residencies, or performances in schools. All events must have an approved venue.
