Brittany and Robbie Bergquist of Norwell, founders of Cell Phones for Soldiers, which supplies deployed troops with cost-free methods to communicate while serving in the US military, were among citizens honored for acts of bravery or charity during a Sept. 11 ceremony at the State House. The Bergquists’ organization, started in 2004, has been responsible for recycling 10 million cellphones and providing soldiers with 115 million minutes of talk time to call home, and continues to grow. ![]()
