The Lynnfield Board of Selectmen, at its Sept. 10 meeting, gave conditional approval to a liquor license for a landmark Route 1 restaurant, pending submission of required paperwork. Nino Micozzi, owner of The Ship LLC, told the board he plans to reopen The Ship restaurant sometime this fall, serving seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant, at 24 Broadway (Route 1), most recently was operated as Mount Vernon at the Ship, and closed in 2011. The application still requires approval from the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission. end of story marker
