Home improvement projects top Tuesday’s agenda for the Board of Appeals. A public hearing is scheduled on a request to construct a single-family home at 2 Winthrop St. The house is allowed under zoning, but requires a variance from the board because the lot does not meet frontage requirements. A public hearing is also scheduled on a request to add a one-story addition to a single family-home at 117 Taft St. Board approval is required because the addition would make the home occupy more than 40 percent of the lot, the maximum allowed by zoning. The board will meet at 7 p.m. in Room 201 at City Hall.end of story marker
