School officials and the Board of Selectmen will meet jointly on Wednesday to interview candidates for one available seat on the School Committee. Selectmen chairman John Barry and School Committee chairwoman Libby Corbo announced the vacancy this month in a joint statement of thanks to outgoing member Stephanie Gertz, who joined the panel in 2009. “We are grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication of Dr. Gertz, and offer her thanks on behalf of the Hanover community,” said Barry and Corbo. “We look forward to working together to appoint a new member with a similar positive outlook that will help usher the schools into a new era of success.” Town officials said the new member will fill Gertz’s seat temporarily and will have to run for the job in the May election.end of story marker
