Following their arrest in Methuen, a father and daughter from Scarborough, Maine, are facing felony charges of drug trafficking and possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute. The two, 51-year-old Joseph Bowser and 21-year-old Molly Bowser, were seen on the evening of Sept. 14 in a parked car on Pleasant Street talking to some bystanders. Suspecting a drug deal, Methuen Police Captain Kris McCarthy and Officer Timothy Getchell approached the car. After a search of the Bowsers and their car, McCarthy and Getchell said, they found 40 grams of cocaine on Joseph Bowser and 50 or so OxyContin pills in his daughter’s purse. The two were held on $10,000 cash bail until their arraignment.
