Residents and business owners can bring their concerns about municipal matters directly to city officials. Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr. recently initiated ward-by-ward community meetings to provide a forum to discuss city issues. DeMaria will be joined at the meetings by key department heads. All meetings are open to the public and issues discussed need not be specific to that ward. The meetings are scheduled on successive Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The first was set to be held in Ward 1 last Wednesday. The next will be the Ward 2 meeting this Wednesday at the Keverian School. It will be followed by the Ward 3 meeting Oct. 3 at the Recreation Center; the Ward 4 meeting Oct. 10 at Pope John High School; the Ward 5 meeting Oct. 17 at City Hall, and the Ward 6 meeting on Oct. 24 at the Madeline English School. end of story marker
