The Thayer Public Library will present a free Social Security workshop with Charles Schaenman from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday for residents who are close to retiring. Schaenman, who has over 20 years of experience with the Social Security Administration, will give a presentation and answer questions. It’s the first time Schaenman is giving this presentation at Braintree’s library, and Library Director Terri Stano hopes the event is well attended. “I’m hoping it will reach an audience that is interested in that and needs information and we can have their questions answered,” she said. “We’re hoping that’s an audience that may not be reached with other programs at the library.”
