LYNN, Mass. (AP) — One of the twin brothers struck by a vehicle outside their Lynn home last week has died, while the surviving brother continues to fight for his life.

A friend speaking on behalf of the family says 21-year-old Dillon McManus was declared dead Saturday. He was declared brain dead on Friday but was kept on life support so his organs could be saved and donated.

He never regained consciousness after being struck late last Wednesday.

The family spokesman, Steve Rosenbaum, tells The Daily Item (http://bit.ly/OP5smY ) that Riley McManus spent five hours in surgery Saturday to repair a punctured lung and a shattered hip and pelvis. He is expected to survive.

Police are still investigating and the driver of the vehicle that struck them has not been charged.
