The Friends of the Lynnfield Library is seeking donations of gently used books, music CDs, and DVDs for its annual used book sale in October. The fund-raiser, the largest of the year for the library, supports programs and activities. Residents may have their donations picked up from their homes by calling Alexis Gilbode at 781-608-4179 to make arrangements. People may also leave boxed or bagged donations at the circulation desk or in the library foyer. The sale is scheduled for Oct. 20 at the Meeting House on the Town Common, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. From 1 to 2 p.m. on that day, people may fill a bag (provided by the Friends group) with books for $4. A preview will take place the previous evening, Oct. 19, also at the Meeting House, for Friends members, including those who join that evening. Information on joining the organization is available at www.foll.org. end of story marker
