The Canton Water Department is warning residents to be on the alert about callers who falsely identify themselves as from the department and try to schedule appointments to enter homes to test the water. “The water department does not test the water in individual homes,” said a public statement from the department. Residents who receive such a call are asked to phone the Canton Police Department at 781-821-5090.
