UMass Lowell ranks number 170 in ‘Best National Universities’ list

University of Massachusetts Lowell has been ranked number 170 in the Best National Universities list issued by U.S. News & World Report;  the rankings are part of their recently released Best Colleges 2013 edition. UMass Lowell’s spot reflects a seven-place jump up from last year for the university. Chancellor Marty Meehan said the increase reflects the expertise and commitment of the university’s faculty and staff, and the vitality of its growing campus. Enrollment at UMass Lowell is now more than 16,000 students, and has increased each of the last five years.
